Fire, Ice, and Everything In Between: 11 Days Circling Iceland

Image
Iceland had been sitting on the "someday" list for years, mostly because every video about it starts with a drone shot of a waterfall and ends with someone standing in front of a glacier looking personally victorious. So this June, we finally went and did the thing: flew in, gave ourselves three full days to settle into Reykjavík, then handed the driving over to a small-group BusTravel tour (booked through GetYourGuide) for a 7-day loop around the entire Ring Road and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, before one last night back in the capital. Wohoo to Oregon

Image
Few years ago, i visited Bigsur via Califonia highway 1 and fell in love with it especially Bixby bridge. i cannot even count the number of folks i recommended or bought them to this place over the years and i still cannot find a beautiful place than this and this is one of the reasons i moved to California. Every-time i visit this place, i feel like am in a different world and how tiny we are in this wide world and show beautiful nature is.   There are some viewpoints where we can see ocean touching these rock formations and it is so amazing that words cannot express and you have to visit and see for yourself. Long story short- Highway 1 made me explore rest of the highway along the Pacific Cost highway. We drove around south which made us wonder how about “North”.   It was Beautiful. Here is how the trip looks like. You start from San Jose and visit Seattle via Burney Falls, Crate Lake and Portland and return via Oregon coast highway There are definitely a whole lot of beaut...

Do you want fresh air with views close to east bay and not have to travel miles north or south ? Do you want to bike and have nice views at the same time? Answer is “ Wilder State Ranch Park ” in Santa Cruz.   Santa Cruz in itself is beautiful and offer a lot of places but the beach gets crowded but there are so many things in this town and near by cities which has less crowd and more Joy and this park is one of the finest. Getting to this park is easy drive to Santa cruz and if you want to park inside the park, it is $10 and there are some spots outside the park as well but with some walk. Parking lot has restrooms. We went on to explore “ Old landing Cove Trail ” and the trail in itself is easy 2.4 mile roundtrip where we can hike or bike. You will see trail with fresh air and bushes until u get to beautiful views of the coastline and you can see waves welcoming you in their own way. As you walk along you see parking lot for seals and we came across two curious ones who were in...
